The Return of the Welfare Queen

Haley Barbour, the Republican governor of Mississippi, wants higher co-pays on drugs for Medicaid recipients. He tells the Washington Post :

“We have people pull up at the pharmacy window in a BMW and say they can’t afford their co-payment.”

Fact check, please. How old was that BMW? How many miles did it have on it? What was its blue book value? How likely is it that this anecdote is even true?

Unlikely. Going on Haley’s proven track record with memory, truth, prejudice . . . snowballs in hell come to mind.
